Super Radio Network has appointed Ashley Myatt as General Manager of Newcastle radio stations NEWFM and 2HD, with the experienced media executive set to commence in the role on Wednesday, October 21.
Myatt brings three decades of experience across media sales and business management, having held senior positions with DMG and Southern Cross Austereo (SCA).
His career has spanned markets across Australia, from Cairns in Far North Queensland to Western Australia and New South Wales.
Most recently, Myatt managed WIN Television’s northern NSW sales team, giving him extensive experience in the regional media landscape, commercial partnerships and local business relationships.
Super Radio Network CEO Graham Mott said the appointment followed a lengthy search to find the right candidate to lead the Newcastle operation.
Mott said Myatt would be a valuable addition to the network, with his industry knowledge and market experience providing opportunities for growth.
Myatt said he was excited to join the team and looked forward to further strengthening NEWFM, 2HD and the wider Super Radio Network.
NEWFM and 2HD are established commercial radio brands serving Newcastle and the wider Hunter region. The stations also act as network hubs, providing programming content for other stations across the network.
The appointment reinforces Super Radio Network’s focus on local leadership and developing commercial partnerships in the Newcastle market.
